Anderson Wins 2023 American Farm Bureau Excellence in Ag Award and Brings Win to Thayer Ford

Stacie Anderson, a local family farmer, recently won the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) 2023 Excellence in Agriculture Award. This national recognition follows her triumph as the Ohio winner of the Excellence in Agriculture contest in 2022.

As the first-place winner Anderson received a generous $35,000 credit towards a new Ford vehicle, courtesy of Ford Motor Company. Demonstrating her commitment to agriculture and the community, Anderson chose to invest her prize in a brand new 2023 Ford Expedition from Thayer Ford in Bowling Green, Ohio. This purchase not only supports a local business but also empowers her continued involvement in agricultural activities.

“We’re proud of a local Bowling Green woman winning this award on the national level,” stated Rachael Thayer-London. “And we’re excited that Stacie chose to purchase her new Ford Expedition from Thayer Ford. This is an honor for Stacie and for us as well.” Anderson worked with Rob Farrish, Thayer Ford Product Specialist, to purchase her Ford Expedition.

Anderson was excited about her award and the recognition it is bringing not only to her efforts but to Bowling Green. “The entire premise of my AFBF award was how I’m making cool things happen in my hometown and true local investment I’ve made- so it’s pretty fitting that this award ended with getting to shop local with great service right in my hometown,” Anderson said.

The Excellence in Agriculture Award acknowledges the achievements of young farmers and ranchers who may not primarily rely on an agricultural operation for their income but have significantly contributed to the growth and development of the industry through their involvement, leadership abilities, and participation in the Farm Bureau and other organizations.
