Coins and Cars: Thayer Family Dealerships Cruise into the Future

Serving customers in the Bowling Green and Wood County area for almost 90 years, the Thayer Family Dealerships have remained a positive cornerstone of this community. Sales and vehicle service is the business, but it is their continuous involvement, free event offerings, and devoted support of local organizations, schools, and athletic programs that highlight the company’s commitment to the future of Bowling Green.

“Bowling Green is home. Our customers and our community support our business, so our family always wants to be positive contributors to this town. I am constantly reminded of our Papa Ralph’s motto: ‘It is better to be good to good people than to be a bad egg in the basket,’” says Rachael London.

It is this philosophy that has encouraged the Thayer Family to begin laboring behind the scenes to develop a plan to support the millions of customers that have walked through the doors of their dealerships and to soothe the anxieties of today’s financial turmoil.

“We want to be a part of the solution, not a part of the problem,” remarked Ryan Thayer. He went on to say, “My years as a hockey goalie, alone on the ice, and countless hours by myself on the golf course, taught me to not just talk about it, but to be about it. Those experiences are what lead to this idea of mine.”

On January 17th, 2023, Everything Corp, the parent company of Thayer Family Dealerships, filed Form F-1 with the SEC, to begin the registration process to develop and offer their own cryptocurrency. With the regulatory approval pending, but expected soon, the Thayer Family plans to launch ThayKoin by Q3 of 2023.

ThayKoin will be a digital currency that will be accepted at all Thayer Family Dealerships as a form of payment for all services, including vehicle purchases, maintenance invoices, and parts counter orders. As an additional offering, all snack and refreshment vending machines will have digital readers installed to wirelessly scan customer’s crypto-wallet for transactions.

Robyn Thayer was optimistic about the new ThayKoin, “I recently bought a purse online with Bitcoin and it was so easy! I’m excited to be able to assist our customers and deliver the same futuristic experience.”

While there still is some uncertainty surrounding cryptocurrency in the public perception, the Thayers are confident that this new digital way to serve Bowling Green will lead to new opportunities.

“I read the Sentinel every day to keep up on global issues. Banks are collapsing all around us and I think the folks in Bowling Green are searching for a currency they can have confidence in. When Ryan brought this up at our family meeting last year, I was all in. Who knows, maybe a Thayer bank is next,” said patriarch, Paul Thayer.

While it remains to be seen if a digital replacement of US currency is a viable option for the future, the Thayer Family seems unified in their attempt to be ahead of the certain changes ahead of us.

Executive General Manager of the Thayer Family Dealerships, Robert London, had this to say: “Our company has always remained at the forefront of the advancements and technological changes in our industry. We expect the ThayCoin to be just another addition to make car buying easy and stress-free for our customers. And if not, this was all just an April Fool’s joke anyway.”
